Leadership transition supports Adisyn’s semiconductor strategy

Adisyn Ltd (ASX: AI1) has appointed non-executive director and 2D Generation chief executive Arye Kohavi as managing director, effective immediately, as the company accelerates its transition into a semiconductor-focused technology business.

The appointment follows a strategic review completed in December 2025, which highlighted Adisyn’s evolution following the acquisition of semiconductor intellectual property business 2D Generation. The board said the move aligns executive leadership with the company’s core technology and commercial priorities.

Blake Burton has stepped down as managing director and will continue in an executive director role. The board credited Burton with leading the company through a period of significant transformation, including completion of the 2D Generation acquisition.

Focus on execution and commercialisation

Adisyn said Kohavi’s appointment is expected to support the next phase of its semiconductor strategy, including technology development, commercial partnerships and broader market engagement.

Non-executive chairman Kevin Crofton said Kohavi’s technical and commercial background, combined with his leadership of 2D Generation, positioned him to lead the company as it advances its semiconductor IP portfolio.

Burton will remain involved in strategy execution, corporate development and stakeholder engagement as Adisyn continues to scale its semiconductor operations.

Semiconductor IP underpins growth strategy

Adisyn is focused on developing graphene-based solutions for the semiconductor industry, with its core technology centred on a patented low-temperature Atomic Layer Deposition process that enables direct graphene growth on semiconductor wafers.

The company believes the technology has potential to address performance constraints associated with copper interconnects by enabling faster and more energy-efficient processing. Adisyn’s broader business also includes Adisyn Services, which provides managed IT services to Australian small and medium-sized enterprises.

The board said the leadership transition positions the company to capitalise on its expanding semiconductor intellectual property base and pursue long-term shareholder value creation.
